This game is a blast. Think Fall Guys but instead of an online party royale - it's local PVP. You start by selecting if you want to race, duel, or both. You then further customize your game including number of local players (I think you can have up to 4), your character's costume (limited options but they also aren't selling you anything), what maps can be included/excluded (I exclude village/town maps because they seem too small), special rules/buffs for rounds (super jump /raining weapons/etc.) - how often these specials will occur (random but "how random"), and set a number of round wins to race to. Races are just like Fall Guys but with their own similar yet still unique obstacles - if you fall (or are booted) off the map it will reset you at the start to try again. Duels are last man standing - you want to take out your opponents with melee or ranged weapons OR just make them fall off the map (beware the floors made of ice - they are destructible) . There are also capture the flag races that seem to be a mix of race and duel. Die with the flag and it drops where you did - fall off with the flag and it respawns in its original spot. It's important to note that getting shot is not always instant death. You may lose an arm, a leg, or even your head and still be in the race/duel. It can be quite entertaining to see someone with no head hopping along on one leg with their one arm holding the flag for dear life. I would consider this family friendly as there is no blood/gore (mild violence i guess) and the characters are made of jelly. This game is really a simple but amazingly fun game to play. The ability to include/exclude maps/specials and type/length of "race" is fantastic. I would love to see either a JellyMen 2 with online playability (say up to four friends online?) and/or some DLC for more maps/weapons in the future but the core gameplay here is pretty spot on - there's not much improvement to be had. If you like Fall Guys but wish it played on a local level like the original Mario Cart - then this is your game.
