This game has taught me that:
Trees are magnetically attracted to my car
My co-driver calmly saying “Left 5, don’t cut” actually means “prepare for death”
Brakes are more of a suggestion than a solution
Every stage starts with confidence and ends with my car rolling like a washing machine full of bricks. One tiny mistake? Congratulations, your rally is now a scenic tour of Scottish forestry.
Graphics are beautiful, physics are brutally realistic, and the damage model ensures you feel personally responsible for every bad decision you’ve ever made. I’ve never been so stressed while sitting perfectly still.
10/10.
Would absolutely drive into a ditch again.

Spend 20 minutes meticulously tuning your differential.Start the stage feeling like a motorsport god.Hit a invisible lip in the tarmac three seconds after the starting line.Roll the car 14 times into a dark, Scottish abyss.Listen to your co-driver ask, "Is the car okay?" while looking at four detached wheels.Alt+F4.Open the game again 5 minutes later because you are addicted.

Nostalgic for how this game made me cry myself to sleep. Now I can do 2 stages without crying.

Is it a simulator? No. You can find more physics realism with Richard Burns Rally or AC Rally, but neither of those games have the content, depth, refinement, or replayability of this game IMO.
If you're a hardcore rally fan this game still holds up perfectly well, and with a full simulator setup with VR it's an absolute riot.

Playing this game I've learned how to intricately wedge my car in to a tree from any angle I please, 10/10 would eat trees again.
