This game is a classic of my childhood, and if your looking at this game you most likely played it growing up too. However if you didn't let me give you a idea of what to expect.
This game is all about baja, everything from the 250 to 1000. it also features hill racing, circuit and rally races. there are many different classes of race cars from VW Beetles, all the way to trophy trucks. The game has a currency system and has vehicle upgrade and skin customization, as well as earning sponsors which changes the way your vehicle looks.
For the early 2000's this game was really ahead of its time, and it bring a arcade sim experience to a usually forgotten type of offroad racing. The game is fun, features ideas the you dont even see in dirt rally, and is challenging enough to motivate you but not ruin your day.
However, this game is almsot ten years old, and it's just a "remaster" of a nearly twenty year old racing game. The physics are actually pretty impressive given it's age, but it's on par with older title like Mx vs ATV, this game is not snowrunner or BMG Drive. The graphics leave a lot to be desired, and the maps feel empty and very PS3.
Understand it's a old game. It's gonna run and look like it. Otherwise it's a lot of fun and if your looking for a older styled racing game for nostalgia, or want a actual Baja game then buy it.
Somebody please, please make a new baja racing game like the Dirt series.....

This game brings back a lot of memories, I used to play it on my grandpa's PS3 and it brings a lot of nostalgia. From a very objective point of view this game is not as good as i remember: the racing is fun and the career system, even if simple, is good enough to keep you entertained for a bit. But the game evidently lacks polish, and some of the features are very frustrating. The simulation driving model requires you to use advanced controls that are never explained anywhere other than the small tips during loading screens. The AI is subpar in my opinion, very unbalanced: they may be very bad on some track/car combos but suddenly unbeatable on others. On top of that, it is sometimes extremely aggressive for no reason.
Its a good game, just not as good as I remembered

actually this is a good off-road acrade racing game
don't expect to get here top level visuals or realistic physics, but the game provides a lot of content, has a great visual style and works perfectly on low end PCs and a steam deck

One of the few desert racing games that is nothing but offroad in the American desert. And, while it is not new it has remarkably good graphics, sounds, decent racing physics, and very re-playable. Ths is my opinion, not necessarily yours.

pretty realistic physics and the open world is the best part
