Yonder offers a world to lose yourself in; a world filled with the wonder of discovery and the spirit of adventure. Features: A vibrant open world full of things to discover and places to explore. Set your own pace; trail-blaze across the world or settle down for a spot of quiet fishing and farming.

Amazing game! Collect, harvest, complete quests, and adventure around the map in Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles. There are hidden chests (which is always fun). I think I played for a few hours before I realized that there is no combat! What a peaceful game! It was easy to navigate. I got used to the jumping (tricky when trying to climb) it's not impossible. The hair dyes are fun. The lighting and scenery are so pretty! Travelling wasn't a problem for me (the travelers knots & the Stone-Head fast travel points were sufficient for me! Great game! Highly recommend!
TIPS:
-Collect lots of stone (for bridges: archways, keystones, cobble, and pillars)
-Don't completely chop down the trees.
-Plant Mystery seeds in every empty tree plot (chop the grass for seeds)
-USB controller (at least for the fishing! lol)

I got this on sale for like $7 and totally worth it to me, played it for a couple of weeks for hours at a time. Can't beat the entertainment for money ratio with that!

A very cute game, with exploration elements & no ways to die, just wandering around the whole time, petting animals, planting trees, & finding weird little sprite people. (The sprite people are the best part, but what?? They're so weird???)

You know, I had been wanting this game since it was released years ago purely based on the cover and the fact there was an achievement for collecting cats, without actually really knowing what the game was.
As it turns out, it's a cozy and chill open world game, where you arrive in a mysterious land and have to uncover its secrets...or just go around doing your own thing. You arrive after your ship crashes, and you're pretty much given freedom to do whatever you want after that point (which I personally enjoy). You can go exploring, discovering new towns and regions, do quests for folks in towns across the land, gather the sprites (which only you can see) and use them to help dispel the Murk, or build some farms and start caring from crops and animals. There are no barriers to your exploration really, and you can just do whatever you want without having to complete annoying quests to get to wherever you were trying to get to.
There is a main story, but it's a very basic one and if you focused only on that, you'd be done with the game very quickly. But there's so much more to explore and discover that really, the story is not really that important to the overall gameplay.
Everything in the game is very basic - but that really just adds to the charm and the chill nature of the game. There are seasons, which impact some things like which animals appear in the wild, but overall there's no stress or time pressure to anything, you just do what you feel like at your own pace. You get all of the tools pretty quickly to do anything you want to do.
There are different crafting skills that you can focus on, although there's no real money system for you to profit off your skills - instead, items have "value" which you can use to trade for other items. Meaning you don't really have to gather things to craft certain items, or stress about where to find things, you can just craft whatever you want with whatever you've already gathered, and use it to trade with townsfolk to get the item you're after.
All in all - the most chill game I've ever played with no stress whatsoever. It's probably not for everyone, but if you're looking for a chill experience with no pressure at all, then I'd 100% recommend this game.
One tip though for anyone who hasn't played yet and is reading this review - play with the sound on. The cats are impossible to find without the sound on, but with the sound on you can hear the meowing and you'll know you're close. I ended up having most of them still left to collect after exploring every region fully, because I played on Steam Deck and didn't want to interrupt my roommate, so played on silent (I play almost every game this way). I regretted this choice and wish I'd kept the sound on so I didn't need to search so much for the cats at the end.

Love this game. It's a peaceful adventure game that has something new around every corner. The artwork is gorgeous, the music is calming, and it's filled with many interesting quests and tasks. There is no combat in this game, which is a plus for me.
