Overview
Super Adventure Hand is an eccentric 3D platformer that places you in control of a disembodied hand on a quest to retrieve its arm from malevolent feet. The game offers physics-based gameplay with various levels, puzzles, and obstacles, each featuring its own distinct quirks and gimmicks. It also features light-hearted humor that runs through the entire experience. However, it leaves you with the feeling that there is room for more content in various aspects.
Story
You, once a hand in the business of selling gloves, now find yourself alone, wondering about the mysterious absence of your trusty companion, your friend, and partner, your arm, which is inexplicably missing from its usual place at your wrist! You conclude that it must have been those cursed feet that have been responsible, and with unwavering determination, you embark on the journey to reclaim your missing arm.
The story is enjoyable and is filled with delightful comedic moments, thanks to its light-hearted tone. However, just when it starts to gain momentum and direction, it concludes rather abruptly, leaving a somewhat underwhelming feeling. It could have needed a couple more levels to provide a more satisfying and complete journey.
While not exactly a complaint but rather an observation, it is worth noting that the absence of a narrator seems like a missed opportunity to have significantly enriched the delivery of the comedic dialogue. A perfect example of this can be seen in Worms Ultimate Mayhem, where the narration truly elevates the absurd storyline and antics, effectively enhancing the overall comedic experience.
Gameplay Analysis
The gameplay in Super Hand Adventure boils down to amusing 3D platforming with clever gimmicks, occasional foes, and puzzles. While the core mechanics may seem basic, mainly involving grabbing, pulling, or flicking objects around, it is the way these elements interact with the gimmicks and puzzles that elevates the experience, turning what might sound underwhelming into an entertaining adventure.
Puzzles, Gimmicks and uh feet?
Most levels share a common puzzle design framework, albeit with subtle alterations that keep them varied enough. They often revolve around relatively simple premises, such as carrying, throwing, or pushing objects from Point A to Point B while evading hazards. Depending on the scenario, they can be entertaining, but some puzzles tend to drag on a little too long. However, don't be mistaken; there are engaging puzzles that put your hand-eye coordination, timing, and creativity to the test.
The Gimmick levels, in contrast, offer a wild and enjoyable rollercoaster of experiences. From driving a toy car to steering a skateboard, these levels exude an infectious sense of chaos and pure fun.
Replayability and Customization
The game offers a fair amount of replay value, as you can tackle it from either a speedrunning perspective or a collectible hunting angle. While it's possible to attempt both simultaneously, it poses a trade-off: you can either sacrifice your time while gathering cans or push for a speedrun, missing out on the collectible. The cans unlock a *hand*ful of cosmetics, including rings, watches, wristbands, and nail polish to personalize your hand's appearance. The cosmetics are well designed and make progression fun, as it would always be exciting to see the next chaotic thing you can put on your lil guy, be it a burger ring or just a bracelet.
Graphics & Sound
Visuals
While the visuals may not necessarily be groundbreaking, they maintain an enchantingly minimalistic and stylized appearance that effectively captures a compelling aesthetic. The levels offer sufficient variety to keep things feeling fresh and distinct. However, repetitiveness does eventually feel evident, primarily in the assortment of props and assets used throughout the different levels. Fortunately, the most substantial aspect of Super Adventure Hand's charm is, of course, seeing the disembodied hand scurrying around, which luckily is incredibly satisfying and amusing because of its' energetic animations where all the various fingers move independently and adapt to the terrain you climb.
Audio
The soundtrack comprises catchy and upbeat tunes that complement the quirky and colorful nature of the game, successfully fostering a lively and energetic atmosphere. There are a couple of standout songs, but overall, most of the tracks adhere to a cohesive style that ultimately means none are particularly memorable. The sound effects do an excellent job of conveying the weight and impact of each action, delivering satisfaction, be it the sound of flicking an object, scurrying around, or simply listening to ambient noises.
Hardware Specifics & Bugs
PC: i7-9700K, 24GB of RAM, and a RTX 2080 Ti.
SD: 800p, 60 FPS, ~1.5-2 hours battery, ~20W, 65-72 C.
Both platforms ran smoothly without any prevalent issues encountered on either one.
Final Thoughts - Good but lacking content
Super Adventure Hand is a charming and whimsical 3D platformer that delivers a unique and entertaining experience. The game's physics-based gameplay, quirky gimmicks, and light-hearted humor make it an amusing journey. However, it leaves you wanting more, especially in terms of content and storytelling. The abrupt ending and lack of enemy variety are minor blows in an otherwise enjoyable adventure.

Truly a HANDsome game.
Pretty straightforward gameplay simple to start but a challenge to master, though I only need to beat my friend's highscore, it's been a while I have played a game with levels so short I can play on lobbys between games while being so enjoyable.
Pros.
-Handy controls
-Fun physics and mechanics
-Feet enjoyer friendly (no judging here)
-Complicate lvls are not frustrating, at least yet, maybe it will get out of hand
-hand puns
Cons.
-No complains, but I would love cop feets pursuing me while yelling at me that I'mĀ underĀ aĀ wrist.

*Super Mario 3D World meets Thing from the Addams Family*
Amazingly fun little game with a breathtaking vibe, great levels, comprehensible puzzles and the handiest hand there ever was.
I started playing this thinking it was just going to be a fun, dumb and short little game with only one gimmick, but oh was I wrong. The polish is so much higher than I could have expected. The controls for example are not only tight, but uniquely button mapped as well (yes, the controls is one of the highlights of the game!?). What I mean by this is that when you are for example grabbing, at least on keyboard you ACTUALLY do the same gesture with your hand as the character. This surprisingly made MY hand very connected to the gameplay, and made me get into the flow of movement just after the first level because of it, making the game fun even from the start. Combine this with nicely laid out levels, solid difficulty progression, unique mechanics (that sometimes might get a little bit overused) and an enjoyable narrative and presentation, you end up with a game that YOU REALLY SHOULD'NT SKIP.
I'm so happy that the developer took an insane premise and just ran with it as far as they could!
*and also, best level is Skate Hand... The hand do be vibin on that skateboard*

Sometimes all you need in life is a hand.
Super Adventure Hand is a hands down enjoyable title that I didn't handticipate to love this much. If you like its humour and love platforming, you might as well get hands-on with this one and pick it up ā you'll have 50 handcrafted levels to go through and plenty of fun to be ha(n)d.

I love this! The music is great and the graphics are strange and charming, overall the game has a unique, weird vibe reminiscent of a different era of video games. As a 3D platformer it's an enjoyable, funny and actually quite relaxing game, but it's as a speedrunning game that it really shines. Early on it feels a little tedious to go back and forth fetching keys, but that's when you start to search for ways to be more efficient. What if I flick the keys toward the lock until I have all of them? What's the optimal order? Wait, is this crate here just so I can make a shortcut jump over there? Do I fight the feet or just go for the keys?
Even if making it to the top of the leader board is already nearly impossible, climbing as high as you can, improving your personal best or competing with friends gives enough motivation to keep finding new, fun ways to clear levels faster. There are so many ways to be smart and creative when you are trying to shave seconds off your best time, and in the process you improve your skill - taking the experience from comically awkward to precise and deliberate.
Well done!

lots of fun and my kids love it! I have two kids, a 9 year old daughter and a 4 year old autistic son, they both absolutely adore this game. My kids have started the game over and over again enjoying each level every time they play it! I appreciate the devs for making such an awesome game!
With the help of having no limited lives and having it timed, this is perfect for my son, he is easily the one who has played this game the most. He has spent hours so far on this game and loves to play it normally but he also likes to die dramatically by jumping off into the abyss as he screams and he thinks its hilarious, along with everyone watching him!

Another prime candidate for the "maybe recommend" rating. A soft yes.
"Super Adventure Hand" is a goofy, sometimes frustrating, physics-based puzzle platformer starring possibly the most unsettling protagonist of any game of this type. You play a sentient, talking disembodied hand that skitters around like a fleshy spider and makes me feel genuinely uncomfortable. The way it stretches its fingers will haunt my dreams.
Pros:
- Silly sense of humor while also being oddly gross
- Satisfying movement and traversal
- Great sound design on the hand!
- Good length considering the simple mechanics
- Correct price point for 3 hour puzzle game
- Yes, you can flip the bird.
Cons:
- Camera can be a hindrance sometimes
- Flicking objects can often cause you to buy it an engagement ring and you'll fly off with it to elope
- Repetitive, meh music
- A really annoying boss fight
- Runs out of ideas after tiny hand mechanic is introduced
- Little replay value. Needs a custom level editor.
