Other reviews say that this game is empty and has only fetch quests. And what can I say?
They are right.
Summer in Mara is no game for people who like to be busy.
I play it to relax. And relaxing it is for sure.
No way to die, crafting goes by the way and the rest of the game is enjoying the beautiful islands.
When I need to heal my soul, I stroll through this game and feel like I'm on Summer vacation in Mara.

The Game was easy to play and went with a great little story that was sad but finished off quite special. There was plenty of quests to keep you busy. The only downside was that i did not find the developers( support team) very helpful when there were a few minor issues that really were not issues just my lack of understanding controls of game. Game was very relaxing and quests folllowed each other well. I highly recommend this game, worth every cent.

Neat little farming game that I picked up a few sales ago. Overall not a bad indie title, and I enjoyed the art style quite a bit. I look forward to seeing what Chibig puts out in the future.

Once you get the hang of play style, this is a fun game. It is a very cute game that in my opinion is similar to stardew valley like games. So far I have played 12 hours of the game and it seems there is a TON more to do. I'm thoroughly looking forward to the next time I get to continue playing.
The biggest downside to the game is that there are missions where it is difficult to figure out how to complete them without looking it up online and I just wish this game was clearer in the game itself on what you need to do and where to go.

I understand a while back this game was buggy and annoying. The devs seemed to resolve all of them since I wasn't able to find any at this point in time.
I LOVED IT. I will probably play again after a year or two. Got all the achievements, it was fun, relaxing and cute.
I feel sad I finished it but I will probably keep it installed for a while and just redecorate my island, harvest, feed my animals and sail Mara to relax from time to time. 10/10 would recommend. Just ignore any comment older that 2023. Worth every single penny.

Farming is Simple, they said...
Summer in Mara (SiM) is a farming sim. And a crafting one. And "go there, grab this, travel elsewhere thousand times" adventure.
It's fun to run and navigate boat first few hours, but increasing amount of resources required for quests and cross-interactions between story NPCs gradually builds up irritation. And then there's 20 more hours to progress!
Inconsistency
The overall art is quite cute. But... it uses different styles. There are small adorable loading screens, there are few animated clips, there is main menu and 3d game itself.
Not going to lie, when SiM showed the first cinematic pretty similar to Studio Ghibli technique, I thought there would be many more. Nope. Not the case.
Strictly for Relaxing
SiM is a perfect game for chilling. One finger gameplay - accepting/reading dialogues and then running in one direction, while eating or drinking IRL.
6 by 6 areas, with a central island, will offer hundreds quests to complete, which vary from catching fish, growing fruits, to crafting new dishes, building complicated constructions and searching items, persons across the sea. Are you ready to explore?
