Got it on sale and it was money well spent. About 6 hours of gameplay, good point and click, great graphics and medium-easy puzzles. The soundtrack is not engaging. overall grade 7/10

A really fun Point"n"Click game with a strong and emotional story. Knocked it out of the park with beautiful artwork and soundtrack. Puzzles are easy enough and make sense, The characters have depth and you'll probably love them all. Summing up, an amazing experience! skippable cutscenes and dialogues would have been nice but if you are only planning on playing it once it shouldn't be much of an issue. 100% worth a try considering it goes on sale for peanuts.

i review games on steam after i 100% complete them! check out my reviews to see all the games i have completed!
silence is a 2016 point-&-click adventure game that was both developed and published by daedalic entertaniment, a german publisher and now former developer which was founded in 2007 who were known for developing (at the time) p&c games. silence acts as the sequel to the 2009 game whispered world, that got a definitive edition release in 2014. it's your standard p&c adventure, with a standard interface, although a few things that stand out to me are the beautiful visuals and really good gameplay with high interactivity, with the characters specifically looking great. the gameplay mechanics and puzzles are a little simplistic but intuitive enough to not make the game frustrating at any points throughout the completion process. i would absolutely recommend grabbing this but only on sale. it's on sale pretty frequently for 90% off, making it only $1.99 for what is a good, but not great P&C adventure.

This game is a true unique fantasy story. Even though the ending that I got was really sad, I loved the game.
The Good
The art for the game is really good.
The game told a unique story. At the end of the game you have a choice for what ending you’d get. After you get it and the game brings you back to the menu, you can just load up your last save and see the other ending which is cool. The problem that I have with the other ending, is that it leaves me with more questions. The other ending is sad too though, if you've seen the sad ending.
I liked the music.
It was a fairly easy game.
I thought that the voice acting was good. I thought the Renie voice was cute. Like, it’s just nice to actually play a game where the child is voice by an actual child.
The Bad
I hated the controls for the mouse. There was one part at the beginning where you had to balance the dude on something and I wasn’t able to do it. The devs expect you to have a large table/area surface to even do the balancing minigame. It was stupid. I had to then use a controller.
The game can softlock you in many areas. By softlock, I mean getting stuck. The creature blocked me from moving and I couldn’t go back. Luckily, you can reload from your last checkpoint.
You can’t skip the long cutscenes.
The hint icon color is too hard to see. And not only that, it’s small.
Conclusion
The game was great because of its art and story. It felt like a high production point and click adventure game. And to be honest, I hate point and click puzzle games where you have to find the correct sequence to progress. But I loved the game, it’s true.

Very beautiful game. The artwork is really splendid. The story is ok, the ending was not exactly to my liking but it did fit the story right.

Silence is a stunning game, it's nice to be able to play it through without any google'ing at all.. (I often need to in these games)
BUT it is short. has to many rude characters, bad language and the feeling of a story that's been cut down to size. The previous game I remember as amazingly inventive and has a long story.
Still IF you can get this at a really good discount it is worth a play through.
