It's fun but so so so very short.
I hope they add more to it.
Your going to be solving more puzzles than fighting.

Just to start off I got this game on sale for half off, but it honestly kept my attention the entire time I was playing. I played strait through in one shot and I got a good 5 hours out of it. Keep in mind that I explored every level, completed all optional quests, collected all runes in every area, looted literally everything that could be placed in my inventory, and stopped to play around with the little extras they added when available, (That would be the cooking, potion making, weapon sharpening, and of course item bartering).
Combat
Not the greatest yet not the worst I've seen. No real physics here, your weapon more or less kinda glides through the enemy. That said, you can parry, knock down arrows, and even catch bombs thrown at you and then throw them back. I'm not really into wiggle combat so I mainly parried to fight or used my bow. The bow is spot on, no issues. Easy to aim without the assist and no problems drawing arrows.
Story
Just your run of the mill hero confronted by a goddess and pegged with the responsibility of vanquishing the darkness. Nothing really stood out to me, but I did like the option that they give you at the end. Other than the end your choices really don't matter, it's just a way to gather more info on what's going on.
Collectibles
If your going for completion every level has optional challenges that will need done as well as runes that need to be collected. Runes are hidden throughout every level including the hidden areas. Sometimes there're up high where you have to shoot them down and other times you may need to complete a task where the rune is a reward. There are also many items that you can loot like books, candlesticks, mugs, coins, golden cups, gemstones, scrolls, and basic swords. All looted items can be sold and you can use bartering to increase how much they sell for or decrease how much you pay for a weapon. Other than weapons though, your gold is useless.
All in all I feel satisfied in every way. Graphically the game looked beautiful. It's not lifelike but honestly exactly how many VR games are. I feel a lot of love went into making it. I enjoyed the little things the they added that weren't really needed but enjoyable all the same. Things like cooking, sharpening your sword, making your health potion, feeding the horses, and of course the dog whom you can play fetch with and give them a treat. Not to mention that you can catch yourself on fire if your not paying attention around the candles. The game is often on sale for $12.49 which I believe at that price it's a steal.
