I recommend this game, but as of right now there is a MAJOR PROBLEM. Do not solely build reflect and armor, you will never win because of the enemies that never attack you. At a certain point you get enemies with so much HP that you cant beat them with basic attacks in a million years. I've been stuck in the same fight for almost 45 mintues because this fat blob WONT DIE and I have no way to increase my damage. Devs plz make this thing attack at least like, once a minute or something.
UPDATE: It's been 2 hours, enemies are level 1960, I cant kill the blobs, theres another one after this one, im one room from the boss, I have 11k armor and 11.9k% reflect. My right index finger has lost feeling. Hep
Update part 2: The card humility is bugged, if the damage number breaks 10k it doesnt work

Tl;dr: It is a neat little auto-battler with a unique twist on the roguelike deckbuilder category that you should get if you're interested in the genre.
First of all, I really appreciate how the developers found a unique and sensible way to make an auto-battler game that can be influenced by constant player actions rather than just watching it. In Racine, you actively use cards to boost your character while it automatically attacks.
The best thing about the auto-battler system in the game is that, if you play a card at the right time, you get a temporary shield that blocks the upcoming attack at a considerable rate, and you can make it even stronger. This mechanic makes the active gameplay pretty fun. If you like accurately parrying/dodging enemy attacks in tight frames in other games, you'll like Racine.
Besides those, Racine is a deckbuilder game, and it gives you a random starting deck every time you start over. This might not be appealing to everyone, but I liked the way it is since it puts you in an uncomfortable state that you should create a strategy to get out of. I believe the random starting deck system increases the replayability of the game.
The biggest problem I had about the game is that certain builds are far from being useful because of the design of the battles. It is really hard to progress in the game and have a fun time unless you create a build that directly focuses on damage rather than utility. The game currently is not well-balanced considering the builds, and many builds are far away from being viable.
When the difficulty of the game is considered, I think it is fair. The game gets harder as you spend time in a run. The only problem with this is that the boss' scaling is a bit overwhelming compared to normal monsters' scaling. I advise you to rush your first few runs to see the final boss, learn its behavior, and then prefer longer runs and create more complicated decks.
Another problem I had about the game was definitely the use of language. It is hard to understand what certain things do since their explanation is not good. I think it will get fixed in time.
Finally, I wish there was a way to use cards by just clicking numbers on the keyboard rather than using two separate keys to switch between them and use a separate key to use the card. It really makes things harder, and builds that focus on generating lots of Ki in the end doesn't feel rewarding but punishing. I hope the accessibility in Racine will improve over time.
It might've been a long review, but I hope it was helpful for those who read it. I think you'll have a great time with Racine if you're a fan of the genre, but I'd still keep an eye out for updates before spending more hours on it or even buying it because of the issues I mentioned above.

Feels like early access
This is one of those games lies on the maybe scale. I will still recommend it because I see potential in this being really good but a large overhaul would be needed. There are really interesting mechanics that keeps the player engaged throughout the fights but that also means the player is more focused on the game's issues throughout the battles.
Pros
• Engages the player with an almost souls-like parry system.
• Stats based buffs instead of skills allows for precise % builds
Cons
• Certain fights where you gain energy slower. Players will basically be forced to watch as their character gets massacred if they don't have low cards lower than 5, since they can't play cards, which means they can't parry.
• Contradicting Hero ability The hero innate ability grants players increasing speed for each 11th card in the player's deck or more. This actively puts the player in situations whereby they will choose all cards to pick up but a lot of the cards in the game are high costing cards which puts them at a very large disadvantage.
• The first enemy type you encounter is stronger than any of the others. the timing of this enemy is different for each copy of it and in large numbers, they attack you more times, whereas the larger monster are either tanks or attack way too slowly.
• Lastly, there isn't anything else interesting other than its parry combat. The map is too large, which 90% of those fights being almost exactly the same. There are no mystery component (?) like in STS nor are there artifact shops that sells you what you need, on the topic of artifacts, whenever I receive one i think "hmm cool" rather than "HOLY ****, THIS IS AMAZING".

Decided to pick this game up since it was only $10 and being a fan of card games had to try something new. Thought I didn't know at the time Racine was a Auto Battler meaning you either have enemy waves running at you or you run at them like in another game I play called Rungore. Became very fond of Racine after spending my first session of 3 and half hours over time using the parrying system trying different builds and effects since each run will have different cards you can play. That being said if people are on the fence to pick this one up I did a video under 10 min you can check out. And No I bought the game Not a fan of asking for handouts instead Ill just buy the games an give my honest opinion...

Racine is a pretty autobattler with a japanese atmosphere, the real time aspect of playing the right cards, right as the ennemies attack keeps you on edge.
The variety of background is very nice to look while you go through the battles,

Challenging fast paced card game blended with a neat parry mechanic. Also, 10/10 artstyle

Fun unique Roguelite autobattler deckbuilding game.
The mashup of genres work surprisingly well. I definitely recommend for the price! A no-brainer.
