You have 5 days before King Mardokh and the Sun Cultists declare war on Issaria’s tribes. Multiple playthroughs of this short story will let you see it from different angles and uncover new sides to characters, conflicts, and narratives. Try out all 4 player hometowns and 6 player character classes, each with their own abilities and randomly generated upgrades as you build your mythology.

A nice story for a little RPG you can finish in an hour.
What?! Yes, but every time you finish it something unlocks and you can play it again and see a different story. The idea itself is good, and so is the artwork and story, but the maps are randomly generated every time: they guarantee a bit of longevity but it becomes repetitive pretty quickly and, well, there is not much to do in those maps. I played it 3 times so far but alone, probably in good company in co-op it's better.
Recommended, but on sale!

some people say this game can be repetitive. i can see why people think this for sure. you replay through the same areas with a gameplay loop that never changes. for those of you who dont like this idea of playing the same hour of gameplay over and over, definitely only catch it on sale if youre looking for a quick indie experience. at the very least thats what it will provide you, a quick but awesome experience. this game nails atmosphere and story telling. everyone you talk to might be something cool waiting for you as far as an upgrade or an uncovered secret. this is a butterfly effect game which justifies its replaying of the 1 hour game through letting you build multiple charcters and shaping them based on what you did or didnt do and the moral choices you made. if youre into the idea of creating your own little universe with its own story that actually is impacted by every decision you make, then youll love this. it also gives justification to bringing your favorite and strongest character into the endless mode. this game can provide you with an endless roguelike experience, or it can provide you with a few hours of a couple of runs if youre into discovering a bit more of the story, and it can also appease people who want a short game, because i can appreciate a 1-2 carefully crafted experience just as much as a 40 hour one. i play this game with my partner and weve also played indie games that last just 2 hours. but it provides us with a quick and short date night experience where we experience a brilliant and beautiful story, we talk about it and are happy, and we move on. similar to a movie. if you take the game for what it is, which is a roguelike based upon butterfly effect world building, the several runs you make through this world are worth it. not many games let you create this much of your own custom and branching story and lore.

Awsome music and very beatiful art style. Every time you play it is different so you can play this many times. There is no difficulty setting so game can be too easy or hard and you can't change it for you. To me it is sometimes very hard and I can only try run in levels to hope I don't die. Some characters is lots better and some just feel like no point in them but lose.

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.
Thank you.

> strap into my gaming chair, ready for Moon Hunters on Steam
> expecting just another game, but it's a co-op personality test – move over, eHarmony, this is the real deal
> get to explore a mystical Mesopotamian-inspired world, more magical than my attempts at cooking
> choose solo adventure, like the lone hero I am
> 5 days to save the world before King Mardokh and the Sun Cultists start a war – no pressure, right?
> 7 character classes to choose from, each more unique than my collection of mismatched socks
> go for Spellblade, because dodging and weaving are my jam – in-game and when avoiding responsibilities
> friend joins as Witch, we become the Beyoncé and Jay-Z of monster-slaying – it's a power couple thing
> world randomly generated, like my excuses for not doing the laundry
> locations and landmarks can help or hinder – just like my GPS when it decides to send me through a cornfield
> short playthroughs, perfect for parties – because who needs small talk when you can discuss the best strategy for defeating the final boss?
> decide to revive old heroes, because why not bring back the OGs and show the newbies how it's done
> challenge the new snowy tribe, face the final boss, dive into endless arena mode – it's like the never-ending buffet of monster bashing
> build our mythology, make decisions that'll be talked about for generations – move over, Shakespeare, the real drama is happening in Moon Hunters
> become constellations in the night sky, like the Avengers of the celestial realm – Iron Man who?
> find familiars, because fighting monsters is always better with a sidekick – move over, Batman, there's a new dynamic duo in town
> team up with others for online or local co-op – because saving the world is more fun with friends, and you can blame them for the friendly fire mishaps
> Moon Hunters is like a co-op fever dream of epic proportions
> 7 character classes, unpredictable worlds, and more replayability than a sitcom rerun
> 11/10 would dodge and weave through mystical Mesopotamia again – my constellation will be the one holding a game controller, obviously. May your constellations shine as brightly as our wit, fellow Moon Hunters!
Bon Jovi - Everyday
(Verse 1)
I used to be the kind of player
Who'd never let you choose my character
I'd frown when I was failing
I had nothing but a world to explore
Thought I had a score to restore
In Moon Hunters, there's no derailing
Goodbye to all those ancient nights
Goodbye, so long, I'm on my flights
(Chorus)
I've had enough of monster brawling
Choosing, losing, howling
Hear me when I say
Gonna shape my myth today
I'm gonna touch the stars
And I spread these spells afar
I ain't here to sway
I'm gonna play my way everyday
(Verse 2)
Change, everybody's choosing a class
Never gonna let it pass
Makes you wonder how the tribes keep yearning
Life, learning how to build my fame
Learning how to carve my name
Take my choices while the world keeps turning
Goodbye to all those mythical nights
Goodbye, so long, I'm living my rites
(Chorus)
I've had enough of lore deciphering
Exploring, adoring, ciphering
Hear me when I say
Gonna build my tale today
I'm gonna touch the lore
And I spread these adventures galore
I ain't here to nay
I'm gonna play my way everyday
(Bridge)
Hit the keys, choose a path
I just found a secret hearth
There ain't nothing gonna get in my way
Everyday
Goodbye, so long, I'm pressing on
(Chorus)
I've had enough of questline charting
Dialoguing, partying, departing
Hear me when I say
Gonna forge my destiny today
I'm gonna touch the RPG sky
And I spread these tales, oh my
I ain't here to sway
I'm gonna play my way everyday
(Outro)
I, oh I, oh I, I'm gonna game my way everyday
I (gonna quest the sky), oh I (spread these stories and fly), oh I
I'm gonna play my way everyday
Title: "Moon Hunters: An Invincible Game Night"
INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Omni-Man, Mark (Invincible), Atom Eve, The Immortal, Cecil, and the Mauler Twins are gathered around a massive gaming setup with controllers in hand. A giant "Moon Hunters" title screen illuminates the room.
OMNI-MAN
Alright, team. We've saved the world enough for today. Time for some gaming therapy. Let's see if this "Moon Hunters" thing is worth our time. 🎮
MARK
(enthusiastically) Dad, it's a co-op personality test! I heard it's like a mystical Mesopotamian-inspired Choose-Your-Own-Adventure. 🌌
ATOM EVE
And it's got familiars! I'm choosing a pet that'll make even my constructs jealous. 🐾
THE IMMORTAL
(sarcastically) Great. Just what we need. More things we can't kill. 💀
Cecil, in his usual stoic manner, hands out the controllers.
CECIL
Remember, team. Coordination is key. Our decisions will shape the story. Let's not create an alternate universe where the Mauler Twins rule the world. 🌐
MAULER TWIN #1
(evil chuckle) Too late for that, Cecil. 😈
Cue laughter from the Mauler Twins.
The group dives into the game, choosing their characters.
ATOM EVE
I'm going for the Witch. Heavy thrusts and a blood beam, just like a normal Tuesday. 🔮
OMNI-MAN
(grinning) I'll be the Sun Cultist. High damage and friendly fire – sounds like my kind of hero. ☀️
MARK
(looking at the character list) I'm going Spellblade – dodge and weave with quick melee attacks. Like father, like son! ⚔️
Gameplay montage of the team battling monsters and navigating the mystical world.
THE IMMORTAL
(muttering) Is it just me, or does this feel like a typical day at the Global Defense Agency?
CECIL
(deadpan) If only the world's fate depended on our gaming skills. 🌎
The team reaches a critical decision point in the game.
ATOM EVE
(staring at the screen) Alright, team. This is it. Our choices will be remembered. We've got to think strategically.
MAULER TWIN #2
(snickering) Or we could just chaos it up.
Cue another round of laughter from the Mauler Twins.
As the game progresses, the team faces challenges, revives old heroes, and creates their own mythology.
OMNI-MAN
(proudly) Look at that! We're shaping the world. Just like real life.
MARK
(smirking) Dad, you're not trying to conquer this world, are you?
OMNI-MAN
(playfully) No promises, son.
The game concludes, and the team's constellations appear in the night sky.
CECIL
(looking at the screen) Well, that was unexpectedly entertaining.
THE IMMORTAL
(nodding) I have to admit, I enjoyed that more than I thought.
ATOM EVE
(smirking) And my familiar was the MVP. Take that, everyone! 🏆
MAULER TWIN #1
(raising an eyebrow) Can we go back and choose a different path? I want to see if we can break the game.
MAULER TWIN #2
(grinning) Now you're talking!
The team continues gaming, laughter echoing through the room, as the Mauler Twins attempt to break the game's boundaries.
MARK
(to camera) "Moon Hunters" – where saving the world and chaos intertwine. Perfect for a superhero game night! 🌙
Fade out on the team's laughter and the glow of the gaming screens.
