I've gone on a bit of a buying spree this week (too much), HellDiver, Skull & Bones, Lords of the Fallen, some other smaller titles. I said no more crazy, that's enough for the year. Then I saw this one. I love sci-fi mecha, smups, top-down twin stick shooters, and said, "OK, this one looks really cool. One more game then." And I''m not disappointed. No buyers remourse here. I absolutely love it. I'm obviously not very far. So, I can't speak to the overall experiance really solid. Great atmospher, good mechanics. If you're a fan of these kinds of shooters, I think you'll be in to it as much as I am. I'm a very green, novis, wanna be, game developer and it's games like this that make me feel like, "Give it up. You'll never make anything this freakin cool."

A strong, resounding 'Meh'!
I bought this game for 1.5$ and really cannot complain because I got my money's worth out of it. On top of that it runs on Linux out of the box (using Proton GE 8.6).
Initially I thought it was related to the game "Gunlok" from the 2000s, however this is not the case.
The other ratings from 2016 are still accurate in 2023: An OK game with tons of wasted potential. Completely generic story.
Negatives:
- The game struggles to register more than one button press at time. It is necessary to stop firing and press the ability keys repeatedly, otherwise they do not always trigger reliably.
- Destroyable rubble gets in the way after being destroyed. Usually a small problem in underground levels where the pats are narrow.
- Enemy AI will occasionally bug out and stop doing anything at all. This includes bosses.

Game is pretty fun i recommend it
Slight edit: i should also mention that the game is very short. As you can see me and my buddy beat it in less than 5 hours. But the game has SO MUCH potential... too bad it was forgotten by the devs.

This game is one hidden gem amongst a pile of trash, it is a pretty good game that will entertain you for a while. So far I've only played as the big melee guy (I forgot what his name was) from the time I wrote this review and I only had almost 3 hours.
I've heard from other reviews that the story of the game isn't pretty elaborate and that might be true but it's NOT a bad story, it gets the job done and the game is really good so at the end of the day it isn't that relevant when it comes to gameplay, dialogues are fine too.
The game lets you choose between 3 characters (I honestly wish there were more) each one with their respective class, one that seems to be a sort of healer (I haven't played with them yet), one who specializes in ranged weapons and the big guy who specializes in melee combat, so they're Healer, Ranger and Tank respectively each one obviously have their own unique abilities that make them fun, the pacing of the game is also sort of fast and not tanky which is a positive thing for me.
The only downsides I've found so far on this game is that the co-op lobbying/matchmaking is absolutely DEAD or non-functional, it is impossible to find someone else playing this game and the fact that this game has ZERO local co-op is one big shame, I expected to play it with someone else locally but then I found out it wasn't possible which might be one of the reasons why this game died fast and faded into obscurity... at least it has proper Xbox controller support.
