Beaware: Played game with xbox360 controller.
There’s a decent variety of weapons you can use against enemies and the best thing is that each weapon feels and plays differently. I absolutely adored the hand-drawn art style and the sound design that accompanies these visuals combines extremely well with them. In my opinion the game has the perfect length to it because if it would’ve been longer I think it would have been a little too repetetive.
The controls are tight and responsive throughout your time with the game which in my opinion made the gameplay present even more fun. There’s a decent challenging side to the gameplay and even though I struggled a couple of times I never got frustrated because they got the balance between being fun and challenging spot on. I was a little disappointed with the boss battles in the game because I felt they lacked in terms of creativity and on the whole they just felt a little basic. The game was fun playing with other people online it did take me a while to find a game online. All in all I loved the first Guns, Gore & Cannoli because it was fun, humorous and daring, so as you can imagine I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2. Thankfully I’m pleased to say that this game has carried on where the first game left off and to say I had fun with the game would be a massive understatement. There isn’t anything really different here than the previous game and in a way I’m glad. Once again there’s an array of fantastic weapons and enemies for you to use these weapons on and whilst I found the boss battles to be a little disappointing it still didn’t stop me from having a very fun time. In fact the fun remains high throughout the perfect length of this game and that’s because they get the right balance of being fair and challenging at the same time and they’ve also implemented tight and responsive controls as well. Without a doubt then Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2 gets a very big thumbs up from me and if you were a fan of the first game you will definitely fall in love with the game’s style almost immediately.

Guns, Gore and Cannoli 2 is a fun shooter, side-scrolling platform game. The background story is about the mafia capturing the main character, Vinnie. You break out and shoot your way out of the mob, only to eventually face zombies and Nazis. The gas that created zombies is being pedaled to the Nazis and you must stop them. Not much to follow on the story, but the action is fun, lots of fun.
What makes this game fun is that you can play single player or up to 4 players. There are at close to a dozen different guns from a standard unlimited ammo pistol to Tommy guns and rocket launchers. Then there's the wide variety of enemies to deal with. From different mobsters to different zombies and of course different Nazis as well. Each has its own attack which helps you eventually learn how to dodge and fight them. There are over a dozen levels which provides for different scenes from apartment building and casinos, to the sewer, and eventually to a Nazi military base.
I have to say that I did miss the lobbing of grenades and molotov cocktails in comparison to the first game, but the action still remained on par with the first iteration in the series, and definitely elevated the action in many scenes especially when fighting against bosses or large artillery.
The sounds are great. I love the voice overs. They are absolutely stereotypical, which make them fun. The overtly Italian hand gestures and cliche mobster style comments really add some fun to the game. The graphics seemed to be smaller in scale than the first game, allowing to see more screen, but showing smaller characters on the screen. I didn't find that to be bad as it intensified the levels and action in them, but it didn't allow to see as much of the details as I feel like I was able to see in the first game. The animations and movement was good for this type of game was smooth.
The achievements in this game are much easier than the first game, so hunters can easily reach 100% if they wanted to without too much exertion. I did have one part of this game that I did not enjoy and am not sure if it was my system or everyone's experience. I had to reload the controls each time I loaded up the game. I had set my control bindings to how I liked them, and while they were still saved, and did not have to redo each control over again, I had to at least load them up when first booting up the game each time so that my bindings would be used. I only played this game on a controller, probably the way it should be played.
Highly recommend it for those who enjoy these types of games, I know I did.

Greatings from a Chinese player. Great work to Rogueside and Claeysbrothers!Usually I would like to just eat some Chinese Cuisines but this Gun and Gore game is really meet my taste, even it's made by Cannoli, and I love you guys actually make the protagonist names Cannoli! Also I really feel the ambiance of being a mafia in America during the WW2. The whole story is interesting and understandable,it works to me indeed even sometimes English doesn't.
I feel very exciting of the gags in the game. especially the part to kill the Nazi Zombies and to break the Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger into pieces, also use the 88 mm Flak to kill the freaking bastard, and the Italian gesture they are using while the communication.
At the end, I hope if this game going to have a sequel, please also make a Italian voice version for it!Also I would like to wait the Cannoli with Chinese version,or making some side story of Cannoli in China like kill Japanese army in WW2 China! That will be so much fun!<3
