Gorogoa
Winner of Debut Game at the 2018 BAFTA Games Awards, as well as Best Mobile Game and the Innovation Award at the GDC 2018 Choice Awards, Gorogoa is an elegant evolution of the puzzle genre, told through a beautifully hand-drawn story designed and illustrated by Jason Roberts. UNIQUELY IMAGINATIVE PUZZLES The gameplay of Gorogoa is wholly original, comprised of lavishly illustrated panels that players arrange and combine in imaginative ways to solve puzzles. Impeccably simple, yet satisfyingly complex. GORGEOUSLY HAND-DRAWN GAMEPLAY Jason Roberts created thousands of meticulously detailed hand-drawn illustrations, encompassing the impressive scope of Gorogoa's personal narrative. A NEW KIND OF STORYTELLING Gorogoa isn't just a game – it's a work of art, expressing itself through soulful, charming illustrations and distinguished puzzle mechanics.

A really good game with interesting mechanics. Worlds within other worlds. It's not easy to describe but it's definitely stimulating for the mind. Unfortunately in just 50 minutes I'm already at the third chapter, this makes me realize the short duration of the game and for this reason I recommend taking it at a discount. overall rating 8/10

“Gorogoa” can be best characterized as a 2D multi-dimensional puzzle-adventure about enlightenment, and a terrible price paid for it. Story is non-linear and is splintered into different stages of life of the main protagonist, bound together by common pursuit for knowledge; it may seem confusing and fragmented at the beginning, but it starts making sense toward the end when it culminates. On the technical side, game features colorful and meticulously drawn graphics and quieted but mesmerizing music. Gameplay is about literally traveling through time and space via composed, overlaid or inlaid pictures, solving abstract puzzles and leaving it up to you to deduce the story and the meaning; it will last for about an hour or so, with a few replays in case you’re an achievement hunter and initially miss some. As a puzzle game, “Gorogoa” definitely stands as above-average, and has gained number of rewards during the year of its release, and shouldn’t be missing in the collection of any puzzle-lovers.

Gorogoa falls perfectly into my favourite type of puzzle game, one where the puzzles aren't hard enough to make you pull out a guide, but aren't easy enough for you to breeze through them. The perfect middle ground where after each puzzle you can go "Ah!", and feel accomplished. The beautiful art and great soundtrack is just the cherry on top. The only drawback is, it's short, really short, and for that price... eh.... i would wait for a sale, however this is definetly a gem worth playing :)

Short - finished the main story and bonus demo in under 2 hours - but cute and fun puzzle game with novel mechanics that get you thinking. Left wanting more.
Slightly disappointing that some of the achievements are speed runs as that's not how I like to play

I finished this game three times: once with my sister, once with my girlfriend and another time with my cousin.
Except for me, none of them are gamers, and we all loved it.

It is a really relaxing puzzle game with its own unique art style, atmosphere and music.
