Short Review:
Cant really agree with the bad reviews. It was what it wants to be, a short Metroidvania with few new features to make it a bit different then the others. About 12h playtime (i have a bit more because i forgot to turn it off over night). Its not a masterpiece like some gems of this genre, but its a total okay representative of this genre. If youre searching for a metroidvania and have palyed the "big" titles already, definetly give it a try, i can recommend it. Ive had a lot of fun and it didnt feel once like wasted time.
-Story: Well not really a story, but to be honest i didnt really expect it to have a deep story and thought that it will be just a nice little Metroidvania.
-Gameplay: Didnt encounter any flaws, feels smooth, deaths didnt feel unfair ot frustrating, fighting works very well.
-Design: very cool unique style, the medieval ambiente and fish controlling a robot are cool and creative. Enemies kinda repeat at some point (change color and more armor) but it didnt bother me too much, i was always busy fighting and searching to recognise it while playing. Biggest flaw for me was the minimap which had unecessary gaps and empty spots in the chamber, so i was never sure whether it is design or ive missed a hidden door, that was really frustrating to run 10 times around the same spot to search for hidden doors.
-Just like any other Metroidvania the progress feels satisfying, backtracking was ok, sometimes didnt feel tot rewarding and a bit frustrating (look above about the map). Cool idea with the overheating and the abilities were okay, to the end they kinda repeat but other metroidvanias are not much more creative in this term so, i didnt expect anything else.
-Music: Again cant understand the review. Cool medieval style music, yes it is a bit repetitive, but i didnt really notice it, it changes after every "big" area and since its a short game you dont spend to much time in one area, so totally fine for me. Most underwhelming point was the last boss (first one was fine tbh, as said other metroidvanias arent much more creative), if you go full on Damage you can just eat all the hits, heal and kill him in 3 cycles, thats actually a bad point. Having 2 bosses is a bit little but not a dealbreaker for me since the fightrooms kinda felt like minibosses, so totally fine for me. And you kinda get a bit too much money, ive had like 100k when i finished the game and bought 1 sword and about 20 healing pots, so dont feel bad spending it early for better items.
In the end, if you just want to play a metroidvania with a unique and cool style, i can recommend it. Ive had a lot of fun and it didnt feel once like wasted time.

A sweet little 2D RPG.
I liked the art style and the overall game design. It's adorable and nice to look at. The progression was nice and quite challenging at some point but ok. The orientation on the maps were quite unusual and difficult but aside from that, I had a good time playing it through.
