Fadry
It is 4E 448. A rainy morning. There is a man, walking alone through the monster-infested forests of Midland. He bears only tattered brown rags, an old knife, and a message he was tasked with delivering. In this decaying world, a messenger’s work is something to be treasured…
Fadry is a linear, story-focused game which explores a meticulously crafted dark fantasy world through the eyes of several different characters.Features:
- Decisions impacting the story
This game is very demanding when it comes to the player’s attention. Characters will lie and mislead you. History books are biased. You will need to seek out information on your own initiative and analyze it all carefully before you make your decisions, there will be quite a few of them. No in-game source is infallible. Don’t expect complete answers to come to you on a silver platter.
- Challenging turn-based combat
You are not some chosen one. If you want to survive, you’ll need to use wit and knowledge to best your opponents.
Note that Fadry is currently in early access, and only features the first 3 of 4 total Chapters. (Meaning it currently has about 12 hours of content.) Manual and walkthrough can be found in your install folder.

Well this was a fun ride, it took me a bit longer than expected to finish the game, I went in expecting alot of reading and it was indeed there.
The story was very entertaining as I always love games where your choices matter, this game does that really fucking well
it was a very relaxing game, with some hair pulling moments during combat that were still enjoyable when i figured out how to get through them.
thankfully after 14 hours I have been left very satisfied, the ending answered most of the questions I had and left me generally happy, even If I have a problem with the main char of act 4

Even though, at this point, I am somewhat disappointed - I would still recommend this game.
Spoilers below, be warned.
The dialogues are rather well written, and I found myself immersed into the "main character" despite the slow pacing. Really, a game needs that -something- to make you start writing down notes for reference. However, what I can not get over is the twist at Act 3. Or, perhaps Act 2? At that point, it isn't too obvious as to what was going on. Now, having started Act 3, I am still not entirely sure. I think my main grievance with it is that the whole deal with the "soup" is so outlandish and unpredictable, that it pushes - and snaps - my suspension of disbelief. I think that the setup for it is not even remotely baked enough. It is so out of left field, in my opinion.
It feels a bit like Attack on Titan, where the show would have been far more better had it stayed to what drew us in initially. I am not sure if I'll be coming back to the game to finish it. Can't get rid of this deflated feeling, when I think about it. Still, I will be definitely trying out whatever else the Dev puts out. I can't in good faith not recommend this one, despite my personal dissatisfaction.
