Hello Friends,
Today I will review the game DUNGEON VILLAGE. This game is a mobile game ported to pc. This is a relaxing building game where you build a village to attract heroes from all over the world to help you fight monsters in the area and dungeon. It takes awhile to get everything built in the village, and it is possible to make it very big. You can also have heroes move into your town and permanenetly stay there. When you max out a class the heroes have, you can upgrade other heroes to the same class. Each class has 10 levels to get to max it out. There are many different classes and as said previously, you can unlock them by maxing out the class to level 10. Anyways, here is my pros and cons list:
PROS:
- A relaxing game about building a village to attract heroes of the world.
- Relaxing music and game style.
- Works with controller. I used a logitech F310.
- Ability to build lots of buildings and find secret ones.
- You can level up heroes by helping them do quests and maxing out their levels.
- You can max out attraction of buildings so heroes use them more.
- Based on rpg systems found in regular rpg games.
- Ability to gift heroes gifts to make them like your village better.
- Works on Windows 11 OS.
CONS:
- This is a mobile adaptation game ported to pc. Not everyone likes these types of games.
- There is alot of time to take to max out stuff in this game. Not everyone has the time to appreciate it.
So do i recommend this game? Only if you love rpgs and have lots of time. The game is not meant to be fast paced or cause anxiety. It is relaxing to play and relaxing to meet goals. If that sounds like a game you would enjoy, you might like this game.

I think the asking price (currently $9) is more than this game is worth but if you have money to burn, or if you get it on sale for half price or something... yeah it's alright.
It's VERY simple. You are the mayor of a village. You have to build up the village by adding shops that earn money whenever an adventurer stops there. And also houses for new adventurers to live in, so you can collect tax money from them. Then as your village becomes more popular, more adventurers will start showing up. They fight monsters in the woods nearby, automatically. They gain XP and you gain money every time they kill something. You can also send them on special quests for additional rewards. And you can give them presents to make them better at combat while also increasing their satisfaction with your village. They only move into a house if you get their satisfaction to a high enough level. Then the adventurers will occasionally find new blueprints for equipment, or for new kinds of shops. The shops give the adventurers stat boosts, too.
You only control the village. The adventurers will run around and do their own thing, controlled by the A.I.
Meanwhile, each of your buildings costs you money to maintain it, and each hero requires a regular salary to do their job. The point of this game is to find a way to balance things so that your income is bigger than your expenses.
This game has some replayability, you can do a "new game +" where you keep the levelups you got for your shops... but everything else resets to zero. So essentially you can build a level 5 Bakery right at the start of the game instead of that little level 1 Bakery. Helps you get a faster start. Then after 15 years of play time you can compare your high score to previous runs.

I WARN YOU! THIS GAME IS TIME KILLER

In Dungeon Village, you dive in as the new mayor with resources to splurge on buildings, items, and whatnot. Adventurers start trickling in, but to attract more, you've got to boost the place's popularity. That means completing missions, throwing events, or simply kitting out the heroes roaming your village. Once they're satisfied, they drop lines like, "Make me a citizen, but first, buy me a house and cover moving expenses." Essentially, they're just leeches. No sympathy from me when they're either paying their taxes, or simply lying unconscious on the battlefield (to be later extorted for an absurd amount of gold at the local inn)
Now, let's ponder the big question: What's the endgame here? Some argue for maxing out the village at 5 stars, others for collecting every adventurer or mastering all classes. The latter, though doable, feels absurd. Medals, accumulated popularity, end-of-year chaos — it's a convoluted mess. For me, it's all about snagging every achievement. This game's unique; achievements stack up without a formal ending. It's like being the last one in the gym, and your pals heading out say, "Remember to turn off the lights when you're done"
Enough about that; let's touch on other game aspects. Gameplay screams "mobile port" with clunky mouse controls, especially when precision clicks go awry. Graphics aren't bad, but the building rotation angles are downright irksome. Music and sound effects? Mute is your best friend; otherwise, it's a symphony of irritation (this whole experience is pretty much a grindfest, after all)
Overall, Dungeon Village offers an intriguing time sink, but it's painfully lengthy for all the wrong reasons; there's no clear end here, just a clock ticking down. Since this is the second title by Kairosoft that I've had the opportunity to try, I assume their other releases share this same fate. So if you're the kind of person who's more interested in the ending rather than the journey itself, be advised

Another cute game by Kairosoft. Not quite as engaging as others, most of your time is spent watching you heroes battle. Good background game to play while you're doing something else.

Pleasantly surprised about how much fun I had. Got the game for cheap on a sale and wasn't expecting much. The simple design of the game allowed you to enjoy the process of building and watching your heroes get knocked out. The controls are a bit janky, but I still enjoyed my time.

Grindy and fun! I enjoyed this far more than I was expecting to. It just checked all of the fun time waster boxes. It was casual, but a little challenging. It was grindy, but not too grindy. The theme is excellent. All in all this was a satisfying little sim. My only complaint is that every character in this game is white. It's an easy fix, so please fix it. I hope that the sequel does not have that issue.
