This is the first time I ever played DiRT 4, so bare with me. The career mode is interesting, because there are team management aspects, where you have to hire members to your team, manage your sponsors and upgrade your facility which gives some good change in the gameplay. Driving felt a bit off at first, I can't really describe why but I didn't have much fun with it for the first time, but I got the hang of it and it's a pretty decent driving model, not the best but not the worst either. Sounds are good and soundtrack is surprisingly on point as well, there are some weird track choices but fits the game and the atmosphere perfectly. Rally tracks are alright and the additional game modes are fine too. Graphics for 2017 look good too. The game tries to please simulator enjoyers and arcade players with the different ways to adjust difficult and driving style, which is a good addition.
If you compare this game to Dirt Rally (which came a year before Dirt 4), you might feel sour about it and think it's a backwards direction on the series, which is understandable to think if you like simulators. Car model here could have been like in Dirt Rally or the progression could have been different indeed. Also, later career tracks the game gets difficult all of the sudden and in some cases I can't really understand the physics at certain sections, like how I lose so much time compared to the AI. Not even mentioning the grind like career mode, especially from the middle part.
If you try your best to understand the game and give it a chance, I'm pretty sure it can be fun to play. There are certain aspects which make it hard to like, but I do enjoy my time with this. I can recommend getting this game, however finding a key for around 10€ max (which I think the amount would be fine for Dirt 4) is close to impossible, otherwise you should skip it, doesn't worth that much overpay.

Man, DiRT 4 is my ultimate chill pill game. Whenever I'm in the mood to kick back and just enjoy some quality gaming time, it's my top pick. I'm all about that racing wheel life, and let me tell you, pairing up my Logitech G29 with the shifter and Playseat Challenge is a whole vibe. But, you know what's wild? Even when I'm feeling lazy, I can still rock it with the good ol' PlayStation controller.
What I love most about DiRT 4 is that sweet spot it hits between realism and forgiveness. It's like the game knows I'm not a pro racer but still lets me feel like one. Perfect for all you beginners out there looking to dip your toes into rally gaming – I'm throwing a solid 100% recommendation your way.
Now, here's the lowdown on the bummer stuff. No split-screen action, seriously? That's a bit of a buzzkill. And come on, where are the mods like ACAT (all cars, all tracks)? I'm itching for some extra customization, you feel me? Sure, you can share the track with your buddies in rallycross and landrush modes, but when it comes to regular old rally, it's all about comparing those times post-race. Still, DiRT 4, you got me hooked.

EA Sports WRC made me play this again. Much more controller friendly, no stutters, still looks good.
