TL;DR: this game is the definitive Braveland experience and pretty simple fun at that. Get it on sale, play it, and forget about the first and second game.
This game, on its own, is fine fun. However, after playing through all 3 Braveland games, I've grown discontent with the series as a whole. Braveland is a frustratingly long trilogy for a series that almost never innovates on anything. The only thing innovated from the first game is the forgetful talent system in Wizard and Pirate.
Sure, the heroes and troops are different in each game, but not really... just stack troops and focus on doing as much damage as you can, GG.
The only other difference is that each game is longer than the last.
By the end of this game, I was thoroughly exhausted with the formula and just wanted to be done with it, but only because I had 20+ hours of it already under my belt from playing through the first two games.
