Blast Em!
IMPORTANT!
Some time ago the developer of the middleware I was using to do the Steam integration went under and support for their platform stopped. This broke the Steam support in Blast-Em!
For some time I’ve been meaning to get around to stripping out all the code for this middleware and replacing it with another but that task is too great for so few people who are playing this game now.
So I’m not going to pull this game from the store but I am going to stop all further development. To deter future people from buying the game I’m setting the price artificially high. This is not an attempt to get people to spend more on in.
Thank you for your support so far!
About the GameI’m halting development on this game, there’s not enough players per month or people buying it at it’s previous price to make it commercially viable to fix the problems that happened when the middleware provided folded.
I do have the option of removing it completely from the store but that means any of the people who bought it in the past would not be able to download it again which is unfair, so I’ve set the price artificially high to deter any new purchases.
Protect the universe from the evil Alien robots terror-bent on eliminating the Earth and all of Humanity! Take control of the ship and blast the hell out of anything that moves and if it doesn’t move – blast it anyway to be sure.
Collect coins to get points and use those points to get power-ups. Choose wisely, the wrong power-up at the wrong time is the difference between a high-score and having to press ‘Play’ again. You were warned!

This game is hard.... un-relenting... un-forgiving... yet has a re-play value to it that would fool you into thinking this game was developed in the UK back in the Commodore days. You can tell from the feel of the game that the developer has a genuine appreciation for the good old days of space shooters and finally for the price I think you could do worse with your pocket change on in the steam store.
So for less cash than a frothy coffee in your favourite drinks dispensary why don’t you throw your money down and join the rest of us and have your arse kicked by Blast Em!.

I like it, its a fun game to play every now and then.
No lagg, no issues, heavy gameplay!
Once you pass the yellow skeletons, it becomes pretty crazy! :D

I recommend this game but only for 1$. Paying anything more is overpricing. The game is fun for couple of hours, then you might play it but for few minutes every day. Extra fun is if you have someone at home to compete with in scores, then I would say 2$ would be adequate

Good game that remembers me on old '1990 days and nitendo shits,
Recommend it a lot , download and have fun and relax from today's hardcore games.

A very good game with a big BUT. As it is this is a game you play for score and achievements. BUT (<- there it is) sadly not all achievements are working correctly ... so is not much sense in playing it apart from setting new scores and stick to those that are working ...
The game itself is as plain as plain can be. You control your ship with the mouse, shooting is done automatically and you die in one hit. Now go for it as long as you can. That's all there really is. Apart from setting scores and collecting achievements naturally.
The main key of the game lays in the music. It's very v-e-r-y V-E-R-Y good and pumping. Something you would expect more from a late 90's early 2000's highend Amiga Demoscene producion than from within a game. Combined with the overall graphics style, especially in the background makes me actually wonder from whom actually this originates from.
As it seems sadly you no longer can buy this game from within Steam. So be happy if you already got it and give it a try, because it's still totally addictive besides all it's flaws. In fact I often see me starting the game just to be able to listen to it's great soundtrack.

Good graphics doesn't necessarily mean great game. But for this game I should say-
Good games doesn't necessarily need to have great graphics.

Blast Em! is a shoot'em up game, nothing more, nothing less. If you're looking for something to keep you occupied for a long time, then look further. If you are just hungry for a quick blast, then this game will do the trick. Blast Em! is actually great when you are waiting for a new game to finish downloading. Why not have some good, old-fashioned schmup fun while waiting for your latest purchase to become ready for action?
The game loads up quickly, is easy to get into and doesn't demand that you invest hours into it. It is always there, ready to go, fast and furious. Why not give it a go yourself? It's cheap!
