An excellent and unique experience that feels vaguely like FTL, XCOM, Dungeon of the Endless, Expeditions: Conquistador, and several other titles without copying any of them.
Creative, replayable, fun.
Please note that several of the negative reviews were written before the free patch(es) that added lots of new stuff, including hardcore mode.

Pathway: My "cheezy" review.
What is it about (in short)?
Well, it's a rather "simplified" Xcom-esque type of game, because you'll have noticed this from the get go (or by simply looking at the given footage).
Simplified you say, well that's exactly what it is (because you can easily cheeze yourself through this game) even though after clearing a mission (easy to begin with), you'll be able to add some difficulty (with added rewards to boot) in order to replay them (hence cheezing) over and over again (and buffing or even unlocking characters in the process).. Look Ma, i'm swolle!! Note: Your characters are mostly set or fixed as they start out to be.
But, but, is this still fun to play or does it get boring?
Well, that's up to the player to decide... For instance, it felt a bit boring to me personally (the first 6 hours or so), because i wasn't that skilled or ill equiped for the task at hand. (You see, CHEEZE is Key) Notably, that changes as soon as all the shooting and looting starts paying off (which is hella fun).
Of course you'll make mistakes because, albeit being simplified, the game doesn't tell you everything from the start (a learning curve if you will). (Tip: Mind your expendable resourses and character abilities because they can be used in more ways than one may think)
So, a quick summary:
You start out as a feeble flake, but you'll get all buff from cheezing.. (Check)
You will start out having crap gear, but you'll quickly improve and upgrade gear and skills with some added cheeze.. (Check)
You'll start playing as a 3-some of tw@ts, and by following ZE RULES, you'll cheeze out the better characters in a jiffy. (Check)
To conclude: If you don't like to Cheeze, then this game likely isn't for you.
On the other hand, if you love to Cheeze Nazis, zombies or Nazi-Zombies then you'll love it!
Don't forget, ZE CHEEZE iZ KEY!! (Frenchy)
It's fun, nothing special but fun. 7/10

Quick little tactical combat game. Like playing Jagged Alliance 'light'.

While some elements of the game drag on and feel repetitive, the game itself is an enjoyable tactical turn-based rouge-like.
Many other reviews have said the same thing better but the game, especially in combat, drags on for a long time. It takes ages to position your characters and kill enemies and it doesn't feel particularly satisfying or interesting to do anything other that fight every time and straight-line for the objective.
Adding some various combat encounters where your goal is to run, hide or take out specific targets while avoiding others could break up the monotony a lot. Adding some way for different characters to just talk and improve/decrease in stats from affinities/rivalries at random times or at "dead end" encounters could be interesting.
A kind of three-way battle where the Nazis and Cultists are battling and you get to choose a side, or kill both, could also be interesting.
As the game stands now, it is an enjoyable rougelike with an element of Nazi-killing adventure and a cast of various interesting characters in a unique blend of choice, combat and story that is very enjoyable. I would reccomend people who enjoy fire emblem or Valkyria chronicals to play this, as it follows a similar style of battle. The art and narration are both enjoyable, but the repeditive situations and areas do make the game boring and the combats are hardly fast-pased. Ultimately an enjoyable, yet improvable game.

This is a fantastic story driven, rng, tactical top down pixel game with an incredible soundtrack worth playing over and over. Highly recommended!

Well, this is fantastic.
A branching rpg, tactical turn-based combat, danger, romance, mystery, biffing nazis. What more could you possibly want?
Update:
I'm rattling through the game, unlocking things at a decent pace.
Still loving it. It is full of character and choices.
A very enjoyable system.

Good, simple exploration game.
