Do you like picross games that don’t try to give you a headache but at the same time manage to offer you a challenge? If your answer is yes, then I would say that Gizmos: Steampunk Nonograms is a game right for you. With features designed to make it enjoyable for both experienced players and rookies alike, Gizmos: Steampunk Nonograms has a good number of puzzles that should keep one busy long enough (30h+) for the modest price of only $5. On top of that you’ll get to solve a few extra jigsaw puzzles (those can be skipped by the way, if you’re not a fan of the genre) and also take delight in the funny story set in a steampunk universe, which is delivered via fully-voiced, animated interludes.
The levels scale progressively from a 10x10 grid to a 30x30 grid, with the first level explaining very well how to solve a nonogram and acting like a step-by-step tutorial for new players. Solved blocks appear grayed out in the column / row number indicators, but only if it’s clear which block represents that specific number (the game won’t spoil the solution to you) and when a row / column is fully solved, the remaining blank tiles will be automatically filled in. Tiles marked wrong will be immediately shown and replaced with the correct ones. However, this consumes one of the "lives" you have available for that level (the number of "lives" depends on the grid size). When all lives are depleted, the level ends (for example, for a 10x10 grid, you have 6 lives available which means that you can make a maximum of 6 mistakes).
Each of the levels can be logically solved (no guesses needed), and there are also up to 4 hints per level available, in case you get stuck. The hints charge progressively when marking tiles correctly. For those who like to spice things up a bit, you can try to meet the time limit in order to get a “Gold” Medal, competing with others in the leaderboard for that specific level. I am by no means a nonogram god (yet I am no newbie either), therefore those times seemed a bit unrealistic to me. For example a puzzle that I leisurely solve over 10-12 minutes has a 5 minutes time limit for Gold, therefore unless you attempt re-solving the level while having the solution already fresh in your mind (or freshly screenshotted), I don’t really see how one could get a Gold medal on the first try. The Gold medal also implies that the other objectives are completed (don’t use hints, don’t make mistakes) but one of the many things I liked in Gizmos: Steampunk Nonograms is that they can be done in separate playthroughs of the same level.
I love picross-style games and Gizmos: Steampunk Nonograms is one of the most enjoyable I’ve played so far. It has a lot of content, pretty good price, and nice artwork. It’s not frustratingly challenging but at the same time, the levels are designed to unravel themselves slowly, tile by tile.

I am enjoying this, it's a good nonogram game.
The devs patched a critical bug that I faced very quickly which is always great too.

A plethora of solid nonograms, good soundtrack, and one of the voice actors is particularly talented.

Gremlins have evolved. No longer do they play violent pranks a airplane mechanics and engineers, they learned to utilize technology so they can travel across the far reaches of space--to perform pranks on aliens. Can they take apart the technologies of an alien race called "humanity" to better understand it and advance their own? Figure out how to construct all things organic and man-made including: The Eiffel Tower, Abraham Lincoln, dogs, telephones, the entire goddamn planet itself, and so much more.
The Good:
It's a nonogram game. If you know what that is, you know what to expect.
The OST varies from industrial Halloween mischief to drunken French waltz, but it all fits.
You get the OST for free.
Bad at counting? Don't worry, the game shows numbers on the squares when you click and drag .
You can disable voices and background images if you find them too distracting.
The voice acting isn't garbo.
Starts with 10x10 game boards and works its way up to 30x30.
The Neutral:
6 avatars to choose from.
There are six themes for puzzles in the game: Nature, wildlife, buildings, science, technology, and historical figures. Instead of the difficulty ramping up from 10x10 to 30x30 within each theme, that occurs across all of them.
120 levels (20 levels per theme).
Infected meteorites.
In order to get a gold award for a level, you have to complete it under the time limit with no hints or mistakes. No leeway in this game, friend.
The Bad:
The widescreen option compresses the screen.
Jigsaw puzzles can be a bit finicky when trying to connect pieces, but it never got in the way of completing them.
If you enjoy nonograms, and you think that 120 levels is worth it for $5, then go for it. It will be a little bit of a grind if you go for 100%, but if you like nonograms, then it shouldn't hurt too much.

Much to my surprise this casual-looking facebook-tier 1024x768 resolution clunky Picross game is unexpectedly populated with a decent number of quite challenging puzzles that go all the way up to 30x30 in size. Took ~22 hours to solve.
There are many far better Picross games on Steam but if you already ran out of all of them this wouldn't be the worst stop to take. But yeah, I'm recommending it reluctantly.
